Naturally this is a matter of an opinion, but migraines are much worse than mere headaches, especially in the case of Harvin. He reportedly had to spend most of his time in a "blackroom" when one of his migraines struck him, so as to provide him with the comfort of total sensory deprivation. So, going through that leading up to a game - I'd say an individual can't be too soft to be able to do that, especially when we are talking about a full contact sport like football. But more than that, he played through many nagging injuries with the Vikes while still putting his best effort out there (being their best offensive weapon at times with AP). And to me it seemed that the Vikes weren't able to fully utilize him in their offense because of Ponder's lackluster QBing and/or the unimaginative playcalling in general - not because Harvin was/is soft. |
