Bucs take C from Freeman
In the NFC South, one young quarterback has become a team captain for the first time. And another fairly young quarterback has lost his C after three seasons of serving in that role.
Via Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times, quarterback Josh Freeman wont be a Buccaneers captain for the first time since 2009, his rookie season. Bucs take “C” from Freeman | ProFootballTalk |

Ha ha ha I love it!

Re: Bucs take C from Freeman
I watched a lengthy interview with that guy one time, and I saw ZERO signs of what I would consider leadership. He seemed kinda stoner-ish and "yeah, everything will work itself out" which is not what you want in the huddle when you're throwing four picks and struggling to score any points at all against the supposedly "worst defense in history."

Leaders make things happen, followers hope someone leads something to happening.

Re: Bucs take C from Freeman
I saw it a few years ago when things went bad he was throwing hissyfits on the sidelines and pointing fingers at players. Leaders don't cry and whine.

Re: Bucs take C from Freeman
I've never really thought much of Josh Freeman, especially in the leadership dept. ... being the QB doesn't automatically make you a leader ... just look at Matt Ryan,.

Re: Bucs take C from Freeman
Good news is, even though Freeman drove them down to put the Bucs up against the Jets, they were still just barely in a position to beat the Jets. Good news for us in the division.
