Atlanta Falcons disinfect locker room after hosting Tampa Bay Buccaneers
 

The Atlanta Falcons busted out the hazmat suits following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ visit on Sunday. The Bucs have been suffering from a highly publicized case of MRSA – an absolutely gruesome, sometimes fatal version of a staph infection.

Once the Falcons were finished dispatching of Tampa Bay on the field, winning 31-23, the franchise wanted to make sure all remnants of the Buccaneers were out of the Georgia Dome altogether – quite literally.

It's expensive, but that is seriously not a bad idea.

On second thought, Schiano and the Bucs should be forced to pick up the tab for sanitizing every place they play.

Considering the Saints will be in that locker room in a few weeks, I would say thanks are in order!

MRSA staph is transmitted by contact, that's not cool. The NFL needs to quarantine the whole Bucs team...

MRSA can survive for days with no host just on plastic.

I would Chlorine-Dioxide fog the entire dome.. Including the field where players sweat and bleed.

Plus, that field AND the Tampa Bay practice facility is real grass -- meaning that funk could drip and get down in there and grow in the soil and stay alive for goodness knows how long. You put something like that in contact with organic material, and it would seem to me that germs could go buck wild in something rich and wet and organic like that.
