ETA @ SloMo -- apparently there was some kind of "lunchroom incident" last week, different from the messages, which prompted Martin to leave. Whatever that was.

It's no secret the NFL employs violent, vile human beings, but yeah, it's not like the red flags weren't there with Incognito at Nebraska/Oregon, when he was at St. Louis, with Martin missing OTA's for personal reasons, et... For those reasons, I hold the Miami Dolphins organization just as culpable as Incognito in this ... you can't tell me someone didn't know what was going on. It's too bad none of Martin's teammates couldn't realize that it was getting out of hand and show some leadership by stepping in and addressing it. Incognito is probably some kind of 'roid-head as well, so you bring a few of your buddies if need be, but teammates don't let this kind of stuff go on.

It started his ROOKIE yr (last year). being a rookie you think the stuff was common. Sure he probably wanted to kick RI arse but RI was set in a leadership role and his teammates followed RI. Martin is still young and being put in a situation like that how do you respond to stuff like that. place yourself in his situation; age 23(maturity level) loner (no friends) and the pressure that ri was placing on you (cafeteria prank by teammates). All he did was remove himself from a bad enviroment and his agent stood up for him by reporting RI.

I've been in this situation a few times and I'm a firm believer that "people will do to you what you let them". Under no circumstances do you accept this type of abuse and you take your arse whippings (if need be) on/off the field until you make them respect you. I'm not getting snarky with you, but this ain't junior high school anymore and I'm kind of disappointed in a guy like Martin for not sticking up for himself, IMO.
The NFL is starting to really piss me off on quite a few levels ... :burn:.
