Someone said whatever issue someone has who comes into money there is a strong chance it will just make it worse. Glad the judge solved it for him.

Re: Sam Hurd gets 15 years.
"Everything was the result of my marijuana addiction." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! This is hilarious to me, because...
A) Only about 9% of marijuana users have a biological or mental addiction to the plant, so... B) I find this hard to believe because of his NFL work schedule. He never had any previous drug suspensions from the NFL, and trust me, if he was "addicted" to marijuana, he would have been. C) It's a statement I'm sure his lawyer told him to make to make him look like he's sorry for what he did. Looks better on him in the long run for a reduced sentence if he gets "marijuana addiction treatment". |

"The NFL tests players for marijuana, but if the imprisoned former receiver Sam Hurd is to be believed, those tests are very easy to beat. Hurd told Michael McKnight of TheMMQB.com that during his years as an NFL player he smoked pot “all day, every day, and I didn’t want to hear anyone trying to tell me I had a problem.” Sam Hurd smoked pot every day, shared with 20-25 teammates | ProFootballTalk |
