Selfish Seahawks

Pete Carroll says they "owned up to it" in meetings. I guess that's more than he ever "owned up to" at USC eh?

This will have little to no effect whatsoever. Guys come and go and our only loss was Thurmond (Brandon Browner wouldn't have played anyway). It was a selfish thing but they both really screwed themselves. They are in a contract year and for Browner, he may never get his payday. Guys get injured, suspended etc and the show goes on...

none whatsoever?
so no one in the locker room wishes Tate had just shut the hell up?
no vet talked to him about not bad-mouthing teammates in the stretch run?
Carroll doesn't care about the team aspect, or as you say who 'comes and goes' ?

you are either an team insider or delusional

Tate said they did a selfish thing LOL. He also said he loves those guys and will be there for them. Tate speaks his mind and is the first to criticize himself. Ever heard of accountability? Guys beat their wives, patrons, and murder in some cases. Hate to break it to you but Maxwell and Lane shut down opposing teams wide receivers down the stretch. Thurmond was injured and Browner was suspended and all the Seahawks did in their absence was 58-0 over Cardinals, 48-17 over Bills and 42-13 win over sf. SF couldn't even score a touchdown on our first string defense.

So, forgive the hijack for a second whilst I ask our dear Choupique a question:

Can you, for the enlightenment of us all, define for us the difference between a "yuppie" and a "yippie"? No cheating. You are not allowed to Google it.

Okay. Sorry folks. Back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Re: Selfish Seahawks

"We're very disappointed those guys will not be able to play with us. It's kind of how it goes at times. I don't know that we can expect to be perfect. We'd like to be, but that isn't the case. You want guys to be on point, but sometimes you're going to be disappointed. It's not about what pops up, it's about how you deal with it and overcome it."

Even though the suspensions could lead some to view the Seahawks as a team out of control, Carroll doesn't believe in giving up on a player who may have a problem.

"We'll always look to give guys a second chance around here," he said. "The fact that the league has adjusted the rules, allowing a guy who is suspended under these circumstances to be with us, we're going to take care of them and look after them until we get them back."

Tate said he was disappointed by the vitriol over the suspensions he read on Twitter from some fans, something he felt didn't represent the team's 12th-man tradition.

If the weather wasn't going to be so bad Monday night it would be such an easy win. Injured CB + no pass rush = Brees field day
