Rod Chuzinski (sp) was prematurely fired anyhow...

They never should have let Rob go.

Can't blame the guys that turned them down. They're all with winning organizations and probably pretty secure in their jobs.
The way the Browns kicked Chud to the curb shows it's a high risk position. |

Don't underestimate the showdown between Norv Turner and the Browns Ownership after Chud's firing...
Norv is respected in this league and he told Haslam & Co. they were basically a bunch of *****s to their face... Norv Turner questioned Cleveland Browns after firing of Rob Chudzinski - ESPN |

Chud worked miracles with that team despite what he had.
anyone else would fail to produce more than 2-3 wins. This is why no one wants that job. |

And if his Quarterback didn't get hurt he'd still be there. The Browns are who we think they are. And thats all they'll ever be.

And oddly enough, he may now be the best available man for the job! |

Just look at the NFC West. Those teams blew for soooo long, the division was almost a laughing stock. 7-9 Seahawks division winners? But all those NFC West teams stockpiled draft picks, picking up quality players year after year, good draft positions. Then all it took was some coaching changes and BOOM -- you had a powerhouse division in which all four teams are legit.
I got no explanation for why the Browns blow so hard for so long. It's the age of parity. What gives? Every time I hear about the Browns, that team seems to me like such a great opportunity for an "unknown" but brilliant Sean Payton-esque young talent to come in and really build a scary, new-school team, similar to what Payton did when the Saints were a mess. But it never happens. Don't understand it. |
