It was bad enough that Tony Gonzalez had to retire in embarrassing fashion last season because of the Failclowns, but now Steven Jackson and Osi Umenyiora will be spotlighted preparing for a disappointing season... What a shame. Atlanta is becoming a place where legends go to end their careers in an unfortunate way. Now it actually makes sense that they are considering signing Vilma... It would be another career they could ruin.

The exemptions are:
1. Teams that have appeared on Hard Knocks in the last 10 years.
2. Teams with new head coaches.
3. Teams that have made the playoffs in either of the last two years.

The NFL Can Force These Eight Teams To Appear On Hard Knocks

I think we can pretty much take it to the bank that this is Smith's last year coaching as head coach in Atlanta. Being already on the hotseat, AND NOW having cameras follow him everywhere in training camp, second-guessing every cut or hire of every rookie and veteran on the team -- I can't see him surviving this.
