I'm a big fan of anything that brings attention to a terrible disease. I do however feel that the NFL would be better promoting testicular cancer.

Attention is all fine and dandy but what they need is money for research. Just the attention is no guarantee that there will be donations.

But there still is the issue of attention needed and just as important for men to go the doctors if they have a concern. As men we tend to put off the doctors at all costs and hope it will go away

Yeah, definitely that and also, hello NFL, a BIG TIME need among your own audience, is awareness for PROSTATE cancer, which is still VASTLY under-appreciated and misunderstood, and people make the jokes about it and blah blah blah. But one man in 7 will get prostate cancer during his lifetime. Which to my mind, is wholly comparable to the 1 in 8 rates for breast cancer in females, it's a big deal. And one man in 36 will die of this disease. But like with so many cancers, it's the EARLY DETECTION that matters, which comes from awareness and education and no amount of jokes or hiding from it are gonna help, until we get men to really take it seriously.
