Here's the report the Ravens and the NFL feared
Goodell may have truly shyt in the bed this time!
A report by Outside the Lines claims Ravens executives were given a detailed report of the second Ray Rice video and were granted leniency from Roger Goodell as a "favor." The Baltimore Ravens organization may not have actually seen the infamous second video from within the elevator showing Ray Rice punching his then-fiancee, but within hours of Rice's arrest they had received a detailed description of the footage, according to a report by ESPN's Outside the Lines. They then asked for leniency from the NFL, and were granted it by Roger Goodell as a "favor" to the Ravens owner. Here's the report the Ravens and the NFL feared |

Ignorance is no excuse. I can't wait til they revisit the bounty gate and find out this was only a ploy for the concussion case the players had against the league

Ignorance isn't an excuse, especially when you weren't ignorant of the case.

Outside the Lines spoke to more than 20 sources. Problem; RG is the only source and it will not be questioned. Neither will their in house investigator Mueller since RG already said Mueller's integrity can't be questioned in the presser last week being that he formerly worked for a three letter agency. Same tactic he pulled on the Saints, bringing in Mary Jo White with her ABC creds.
The whole point of an investigation is to question EVERYONE'S integrity. Saying certain people will not be subjected to integrity checks well then, it's not an investigation at that point. |
Re: Here's the report the Ravens and the NFL feared
The kind of action we Saints fans and an increasing number of others would like to see won't happen until the rate of money flowing in slows measurably.
I'm not yet convinced it won't. I don't think the old adage "any publicity is good publicity" applies to the NFL, and Roger's (and the owner's) song and dance won't survive much more without action. My .02. |

Re: Here's the report the Ravens and the NFL feared
Goodell has his choices in the NFL of what he wants to do with certain teams, I been harping how he has had his head up the Harbaughs ass since the year the 49ers/Ravens SB and prior and you could see it coming from a mile away, its happening with Pete Carol to. Certain teams and players are able to get by with anything until the moment it comes into the media, then Goodell has to step in. I firmly believe they can control some of the stuff coming out into the media as well.
