I think the whole thing is really sad. The guy is super talented but just seems to have way bigger problems than worrying about playing in the NFL right now. If you have a job that pays million for a short period of time and it requires you to stay sober and stay off drugs and you can't do that you got bigger issues than football.

For alcohol? I thought they only tested for illegal substances ... I guess they're serious, :neutral:.

You're right. It really is sad. People will call him stupid. I won't be one of those people. Disappointing and sad is what comes to mind.

Well to call him stupid would be the easiest thing to do. Potentially wasting millions are per definition stupid. Combine all the stuff you read about Josh Gordon thou and he comes across as an addict or at least as somebody with symptoms very close to addiction. Might be other mental issues etc. Its quite clear that he needs professional help and I hope he gets it.

The league being able to tell somebody they cant drink because of a DWI is BS. The man does need help.

Look at the difference is the way they help Irsay and then go after players

That's a good point. I think I've heard of player's forced into some type of rehabilitation by the league but can't really recollect. After four violations, he could use an intervention. Browns Backers gotta' be reeling after this news and the Johnny Football headlines, :neutral:.

Gordon needs the help but like any addict until he wants the help and either hits rock bottom or has a mindset change nothing will work.
