Yes they did. In last years superbowl it was obvious that they tried to make Wilson an MVP. When the game was basically over they started calling passing plays like crazy. Until then Wilson had mediocre numbers. Even that didn't help because Malcom smith was the MVP.

God what a dumb play. Marshawn left the backfield immediately in the opposite direction so the DB's knew immediately it was a pass play. And Wilson stared down Lockette the whole way. That play gets 86'ed for sure, I'm surprised that it ever worked.

Well it cost them the SuperBowl I'm not sure of the conspiracy story but it was mentioned in a earlier thread to make Wilson the star.
