Chase Daniel thinks Chiefs will keep him, at $4.8 million
Daniel is heading into the third year of a three-year, $10 million deal, and he’s due $4.8 million for the 2015 season. Considering that Alex Smith is still in place as the starter, that would seem to make Daniel a likely cap casualty.

Poor guy I'd like to see what he's got in him. I dont think he's worth that based on what we've seen, but he's never had a chance.

I do not see how you can say he is better than Smith when he has no track record. Smith may not be great but he has a track record of wins

This is the problem with Daniels stuck as a backup, however not a bad paycheck at the end of the day.

More power to him, if a team was dumb enough to pay me that much to back up, I would run to the bank to deposit the checks too
