Jaguars' 1st-round pick Dante Fowler tore his ACL and is out for the season, league source tells ESPN. Just wow.

That's awful... My heart hurts for that young man. Finally made it and then this happens. My prayers go out to Dante.

UPDATE 3:03 p.m. ET: Coach Gus Bradley said after the practice wrapped up that Fowler is “being evaluated. We’ll know more tonight.”

ah-- big difference though: last night I was in a plane that was low on fuel and was redirected to Austin until 1:30 am. Tonight I'll be safe and sound drinking overpriced hotel drinks :)

Hearing about more and more of these ACL injuries

I think the players are at the point of too big and too fast for the bodies joints to withstand the frequent stress of training. I wonder if the cleats are a issue too. We have that issue in soccer,as the players have moved from the old studded boots to newer blades more and more are suffering knee issues
