Re: Beginning of the End for Roger Goodell?
No, this is not the end of Roger, he makes the owners money. Kraft may be upset with hm, for now, but, the other owners are happy. And, realistically, how much do they care if he screws the Patriots a little?

Re: Beginning of the End for Roger Goodell?
If not for his wife and her father's connections in DC he would have never been considered for the position considering their first choice was Jeb but he turned it down. They wanted some political pull IMO. He is unqualified and was not even their first choice. They have some crazy runoff system after their first lot of candidates. That's how he got it. This is what happens when you hire people who don't have the skills to do the job. Their screw ups are their OJT and he has got many. A lot of what he does is very similar to Obama. They use all the resources they have to bend it their way with total disregard for laws, rules and due process.

Roger plays by his own rules.

Re: Beginning of the End for Roger Goodell?
Goodell should have been dismissed after the Ray Rice Rumble in the Jungle...
The fact that he's still in-charge tells me he's not going anywhere as long as the league is killing it and he can take the heat... |
Re: Beginning of the End for Roger Goodell?
Roger is not going any where.

Condi Rice needs to be considered when GotoHell is finally out!
She has DC connections. Every time I see this thread I hope something occurred when I was at work -away from TV / Radio. Once again, I sigh in disappointment. |

Need to get a football person back in there...
If they hired a woman, I'd like former Raiders CEO Amy Trask be considered... |

With no concerns of sounding racist or even PC (me making weak statement because this may bite me in tush someday), I like Condi. She would be a great President. (First woman & Black or African American or Dark Skin) I can just image Rice and Peterson walking out of a private meeting with Condi. She would have set them straight.
Her words... “With all due respect to my good friend Roger Goodell and Paul Tagliabue [present and former NFL commissioners], probably the most influential NFL commissioner was Pete Rozelle,” Rice told ESPN’s Colin Cowherd on Wednesday. “He never played football, so you can be a student of something and not experience it. I consider myself a student of college football. I am, Colin, after all a student of Russia, but I’ve actually never been Russian, either. You can know something from following it and studying it and I spend a lot of my Saturday with college football.” |

He does exactly what his employers want him to do. He's not going anywhere.
