Unforgiven
I am still pissed about Sproles.
My gut retches when I see Packer / Viking / Saints film mentioning Sharper. I don't care about Graham. I just can't forgive my team for letting Sproles go. Who is on your unforgiven list? |
Re: Unforgiven
Yeah I agree. I didn't like the Sproles thing. But I understand it.

Re: Unforgiven
IT USED TO DRIVE ME NUTTS OVER THE YEARS OF CUTTING OR TRADING SOME PRODUCTIVE SAINTS, TIME HEALS ALL' U WILL SEE. BUT I SEE WHY SPROLES WAS RELEASED/TRADED HE JUST GOT HAMMERED TO MANY TIMES AND HIS RECOOP TIME WAS GETTING LONG IN THE TOOTH ALSO. IT WILL HAPPEN TO MORE SAINTS ALONG THE WAY, HECK IT HAPPENED TO SHOCKY, JUST BEAT UP -BODY/BRAIN. IT WAS ARE WILL HAPPEN WITH J GRAHM. JUST WAIT. I'M WORRIED ABOUT B. COOKS. HE MUST STAY HEALTHY, WE NEED 80+ GRABS FROM HIM.

Re: Unforgiven
Didn't mind seeing Sproles go but back when we traded Ricky Williams I was livid.

I would love a bruiser like Williams type now!!

Re: Unforgiven
La'Roi Glover. The man should have retired a Saint. The fact that he went on to play for the cowgirls made it all the more gut wrenching when they let him walk. He's still one of my all time favorite Saints.

I still occasionally take out my Williams' rookie jersey and to remind me where it all began. Glover was a shame too, one of my all time favorite D players. More recently... Tom Johnson. ...and they better hold on to Hicks or there'll be hell to pay. |
Re: Unforgiven
I allowed the Packers to be my second favorite NFC team until they wouldn't resign ***Woodson*** and Driver retired. In fact, I am still taking nominations for that coveted "second favorite NFC spot".
Woodson wanted to play and he was cheap to keep. He did not want to go to GRB in the first place ...however he filled the D's leadership vacuum and won his first ring. He is back in Oakland. He will be in the HOF some day... I was happy when the Pack picked up Peppers to fill the leadership void. However, it doesn't reinstate the Pack back to number two. And I am never forgiven by folks up der in deez parts when I quietly shut dem dere Saints opinions DOWN. Examples: Jim Taylor and Paul Hornung finished careers as a Saint. (I don't need to go into details because jaws drop.) When was the last time Packers won in New Orleans? ohhh, that would be the Superbowl against the Patriots...almost twenty years ago. |

Re: Unforgiven
The thing about Sproles was that, if you buy into the argument that he was brought in to be our versatile "Reggie Bush" type replacement back, after Reggie left....well, in three years we never made it to the promised land with Sproles, and we DID make it to the promised land earlier with Reggie, so therefore....I use the same type of logic with Graham. Everyone makes him out to be this monster player, and Drew depended on him...he is really really good of course, I'm not saying he isn't a real talent. But he had five years here to get a ring, and we kept coming up short or not getting it done....when a championship is obviously the ceiling of this team, after a while of not getting it done, it's time to move on.

Re: Unforgiven
Andersen leaving always bothered me, and the twice yearly reminder didn't help.
I started loving the Saints because of Manning. He was just above average for years, but when he left was only 2 years since he was in the Pro Bowl, and it's not like we had anybody better. (Stabler, Wilson, Todd). Looking at this year's purge, PT for sure |

Rickey and George Rogers... that was a nice draft. Also got Hokie and Hoby, and R. Gary, all serviceable players |
