Here is why Mallett has been late!

The Texans released quarterback Ryan Mallett Tuesday, three days after Mallett missed the team charter to Miami and had to fly commercial to be at the game.

He still was in uniform because the Texans have only been carrying two quarterbacks. That the 2-5 Texans got blown out in Miami probably didn’t help his cause.

Mallett missed a training camp practice in August because he overslept. That came in the same week Texans coach Bill O’Brien informed Mallett that Brian Hoyer would be the team’s starting quarterback.

Ryan's base was 2.5 M per year (per spoctrac.com).

If millions of dollars doesn't motivate you to wake up on time, nothing will.

In football as in life,nothing is given to you. You have to go out an earn it. Ryan has a ton of talent. But the game is 90% mental.
