A.J. McCarron Starting Quarterback.
And even if A.J. McCarron does, privately, envision that he will seize this opportunity and become Tom Brady, how is that a bad thing to quietly believe? Would it be better if he aspired to be, say, Dan Orlovsky? Being a career backup is a fine job and requires a great deal of talent and work, but here's guessing even Dan Orlovsky would like to be Tom Brady on the field.

Re: A.J. McCarron Starting Quarterback.
Well, he's got the hot WAG like Brady, why not? ... I'm rooting for the kid ... will be first 'Bama QB to notch an NFL win since '87, plus they're (CIN) playing the Whiners ... almost a foregone conclusion. Nice plug for your buddy Orlovsky, Q, :).

AJ does have weapons all around him. It will be interesting to see how he does going forward.

Re: A.J. McCarron Starting Quarterback.
I'm pulling for him. He's from my hometown and played 10 minutes from my house.
He's a smart game manger with some average athletic skills. But so was Tom Brady, and we all know how that turned out. |

Needs to get at game speed and not throw those INT's which killed Cincy in the Steelers game.

I see "He was available!" coming out of this if he shows any talent! For those who don't remember Round 5: Vinnie Sunseri
