The Cam Show Moves On

Carolina goes to the big dance with the help of Palmer. Could he have thrown more INT's maybe he thought Carolina needed the extra help.
I'm thinking if I was Bruce Arians by the second half would have tried my chances with Drew Stanton. To beat a hot team like the Panthers Palmer had to have the game of his life. Well how did that work out for him. So
the Cam Show moves on.

The only good that I can see if the kittens, God forbid, win the Super Bowl is we will have more ammunition to fire at the failclowns for being the only team in the division without a Super Bowl win!

Well, it is what it is ... the Panthers deserved to move on ... I just hope that Carolina defensive line doesn't kill Peyton Manning in the process,. The biggest thing I took away from the games is that Cam was the only QB who really had anytime to operate on Championship Sunday. It's gonna' be a helluva' matchup between Denver's speedy defensive line and Carolina's stalwart offensive line ... that's where the game's decided, IMO ... a potentially low-scoring, boring game ... you heard it here first, :).

It definitely was not the game I thought it would be, but I was more surprised the Broncos won,.

There was a few times this year where I commented you didn't have to like Cam's persona, but you did have to respect his game. He did it again yesterday, he can throw the ball ... with his size & strength, I kinda' view him as the Black Roethlisberger, with respect for women,.

... understood, :). With those two defenses, I'm thinking it's a boring/low-scoring game anyway, #shrug.

Not excited about the Carolina outcome but I tip my cap to them. This team is on a mission and collectively they have been solid all season. Carsen Palmer was bad, the defense was surprisingly bad and the offense could never get in to any rhythm.

Kittens move on  .. hopefully the SB will be entertaining but I'll be rooting for Demarcus Ware and Payton Manning in 2 weeks.

Edit: I don't dislike the Panthers, I just can't stand that clown Cam Newton.

Both teams have a great defense. My prediction: age & experience over youth & athleticism. Peyton will find a way. I also predict that Cam will get so caught up in himself these next few weeks that his head will explode before the game even starts.

Very good possibility, Cam does kinda' give one the impression that he thinks he's bigger than the game and all the pomp & circumstance leading up to the game might be too much for him, #shrug.

I'm picking Carolina in this one, their offensive/defensive lines are just too much for anyone to handle,.

Okay, Arizona may have given that game away, but, it reminds me of something Howie Long said before the Saints v Vikings NFC Championship game. He said, "when it's your year, it's your year". Basically meaning all those little things go your way. Just like they did for Carolina last night.

I said the same thing to a guy at work. Small consolation, but, I'll take it.

I kind of feel the same way. I got really tired of all the Jake Delhomme drama when he was there, but, didn't hold that against the team entirely.
Just against Saints fans who don't know how to let things go. Oh, and for the record, Delhomme was NOT traded to Carolina. He left as a free agent, there is a difference. Kills me when people get the facts wrong.

The only single good point of a panthers win would be Harper getting a second ring

Oh the other slight bit would be

Spot the odd one out
Bucs,Saints,Falcons,Panthers

Makes me sick to my stomach to see that oversized child make it to the super bowl. Makes me even more sick to think that he's almost certainly gonna be named league mvp, and Drew doesn't have one to his name. What a travesty... Secretly I hope the team plane goes down on the way to the game, and everyone survives except Cam and Thomas Davis... too much? I don't really care.

It's not just Ware, Von Miller ain't no slouch, nor is Jackson. Denver DBs were on the WRs like Red Beans on rice. Manning is better than Palmer, even if he is on Medicare already. Go Broncos!

Re: The Cam Show Moves On

Cam is a punk. I've never seen such a me, me, me, look at me player in ALL my years of watching the game. Others in the same vein all got the day of reckoning. His is coming. But, he's playing football better than anyone right now. He has a great defense behind him. The Panthers will win the Super Bowl. I won't watch. Next season, they won't make the playoffs.

K Major 01-25-2016 11:23 AM

Re: The Cam Show Moves On

It's not all about Cam.

Take a closer look at Carolina's D line (ELITE), LB core (ELITE), CB (a rising shut down corner), TE (VERY GOOD), O Line (solid). The Saints must match the talent, skill and coaching to get back where the Kittens are headed in 2 weeks.

It will be interesting to see how they do against a Wade Phillips coached defense.

Cam is looking better, thought he was just stuck and would never develop any further. Still has the mind of of 15 year but now slightly more mature, say 15 1/2.

Re: The Cam Show Moves On

Week 13 we lost 41-38 to the Panthers close game. The Hawks came from behind and almost tied their playoff game. The Panthers are not invincible and as KMajor wrote they have Wade Phillips to deal with who just shut down Brady. Archie's Kid just needs to have a good game and
after that hopefully the Karma will kick in for Cam.

Went to our game in Carolina this year and was treated respectfully by very hospitable fans. As our season got crappier and theirs got more impressive I jumped aboard this Super Bowl express train.

It's good for the Division, and we will have to become a better team if we want to win this Division ever again. I'm all for that, because right now we suck and prospects are not very good for next year.

Cam is an amazing athlete, regardless of his temperament or maturity level. If he keeps up this level of play, his bust will be right there in line with Drew's at Canton. Get used to that thought.

Until next year... GO PANTHERS.

Well, I'm glad for you that you were treated well. I have no particular beef with their fan base. But to see saints fans hopping on board their bandwagon just because they're in our division!? I don't get that man... I HATE all the other teams in our division and wish nothing but eternal mediocrity upon them all. I don't care if it means our division gets no respect. To hell with respect for the division, I just want the saints to be respected... honestly, I don't care if no one respects us either, as long as we win games... now I won't keep making a big deal of this, but respectfully I would ask you, rez and anyone else on the panthers bandwagon to please take your panther love elsewhere... like a panthers message board.

The problem here....we ran the ball too much in the first half which is why Carolina won. Brees has to have two-to-three chances to throw the ball for a first down. That was the case with Ingram healthy. However, Hightower played teams that can't stop the run. He didn't do anything against Detroit, who could. Just saying, don't run the ball against teams that stop the run.

I have a fair amount of respect for Carolina and would usually root for them in the SB, but that hot dog QB sure makes it difficult.

Not really. He just didn't have to make the bonehead throws he made and get picked 4 times. The 2 fumbles, well, he got hit. But the INTs, just terrible.

I didn't watch most of the game, but I did catch the end of the 2nd quarter. That pick on that HORRIBLE pass to the endzone, right after the big Peterson play, I thought to myself "they re done".

Then the Peterson fumble, again, bonehead play.

Very hard to come back from 7 turnovers in a playoff game.

Leave the fanboy BS over in the Saints Forum. Objectivity rules apply in the NFL Forum.

Objectively, I think the Panthers will destroy Denver. It's just their time and showboats, like Cam, usually shine in the big show.
