IDK what the contract numbers were, he had some injury issues, but he's no where near the career ceiling 1200 carry mark you hear people say running backs typically burn out at, #shrug.
Real blue collar guy, even go as far as calling him a "throwback". Always had a decent yards per attempt avg. (3.5+), for a Lions running game anyway, #shrug. I always thought with Joique and whatever flavor-of-the-week scatback Detroit paired him with, that the Lions actually did have somewhat of a running game. He wasn't always the power back they wanted him to be, but he got some tough yardage. What I liked best about him was that he was a local boy ... the pride of Benton Harbor & a Wayne State grad, ![]() Wouldn't of took a pay cut from that sad sack example of an NFL franchise either ... good luck, Joique! ![]() |
