How Do You Feel About NFL Female Coaches/Execs?
Idk... it's like a guy trying to be head of the girl scouts and vice versa. I'm definitely not a chauvinist. I'm raising 2 young daughters to be independent and welll-rounded. Flame me if you want, but I just think that some things are meant to be kept separate, and I think men's sports is one of them.

If they can handle it, why not.
Rita seemed to have a flair for marketing. I think it's really more of a talent abilities thing rather a gender thing. The strong will rise to the top while the wannabes will fall by the wayside. |

I'm sure there will be some great ones that breakthrough. The true show of progress is when there are allowed to be mediocre ones.

If they earn it, no problem.
If its part of some quota system, like affirmative action? HELL NO! |
Re: How Do You Feel About NFL Female Coaches/Execs?
I have no problem at all, I was fine with Rita taking over until it all hit the fan

I only care about competence for these kinds of things. Nothing else matters.

Re: How Do You Feel About NFL Female Coaches/Execs?
Yep, it was a great motivational tactic for the Cleveland Indians in that 'Major League' movie, but I don't quite seeing a female head coach quite yet being accepted in a locker room, at least at the pro level, #shrug.

It's going to take more people like Dawn Aponte... a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, licensed C.P.A., Master’s degree in Finance and Management, then continued on to earn her J.D. (that's like a PhD in law) from New York Law School and is a member of the New York State Bar, plus been on the boards of non-profits and other non-football-related organizations....
In other words, on paper alone, she is probably MORE than qualified enough to be not only just a GM, but she's practically even more qualified to be NFL commissioner than even Roger Goodell.... |
