Re: The NFL Is a Product I Refuse to Purchase Any Longer
In essence, rap music, break dancing, graffiti, and the art of DJ'ing. At one point it was the reflection of the lives of Black, Brown, and disenfranchised White communities during the era of the Panthers and the introduction of the crack of epidemic and war on drugs. Hip Hop is a lot of things to a lot of different people. All in all, Hip-Hop is a microcosm of Black culture in America and it gives insight to the positives and negatives of our daily lives. The music itself is more along the lines of pop these days. The same thing that happened to rock is happening to Hip-Hop.
