Brady in his losing cause
Tom Brady is the 1st QB in NFL history to lose a game with at least 500 passing yards, 3 TD and 0 interceptions (regular season or playoffs).
Happy for him |
Re: Brady in his losing cause
Patriots also are tied with Denver for most Super Bowl losses, with 5.
2 of the 5 losses are to teams that had never won a Super Bowl previously: Bears and Eagles. And a side note, Brett Favre's lone Super Bowl victory was against New England, which was played in New Orleans! |
Re: Brady in his losing cause
"Defense wins championships" .............1,151 total offensive yards

Re: Brady in his losing cause
I don't think the Pats played bad D. Eagles were doing a lot of unconventional stuff. Trick plays, throwing deep on 3rd and short, running on longer 3rd downs, 4th down conversions. Any NFL defense would struggle with it.

Even at 09 seconds left I still hadn't counted the Pats out of the game.
Brady almost pulled the miracle "hail mary" to Gronk. Thank goodness it finally hit the ground, would have never heard the end of it if he pulled it off. |

Well, it's not like the Eagles won it on strong D either. Both sucked, one slightly more. I'm just saying that any D is going to struggle when they face situations that don't allign with the laws of averages. Folles, catching a TD pass? Ok. good luck stopping that psycho play. Running it on 3rd and 6? Who does that? |
