Well more than anything its a pretty ****ty drill from a coaching standpoint.

I've seen multiple concussions from it, dislocated shoulders, various hand and arm injuries.
I have hardly ever seen anyone become a better tackler because of it or get "tougher". Its old school in the same way as not drinking water while practising i 100 degrees heat is old school. |
