Goodell: Four preseason games not necessary
 

BATAVIA, N.Y. -- NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is reiterating his stance of wanting to reduce the four-game preseason schedule at a time the league and players' association have begun preliminary talks on a new collective bargaining agreement.

Goodell cites discussions he's had with coaches in saying he doesn't believe four preseason games are necessary to evaluate and develop players for the regular season. He says the NFL should do everything to the highest quality, "and I'm not sure preseason games meet that level right now."

You know what else is not necessary? An 18 regular game season. I'd much rather have 4 preseason games than an 18 game season.

If something ain't broke, you don't waste your time trying to fix it.

Neither is playing games in London and Mexico. Add an extra bye week.
Axe the most overpaid employee in the USA, the NFL commissioner!

There used to be an extra bye in the schedule back in the 90's.

I just wish he'd have his tenure shortened immediately by way of Termination !
His bias deserves to be addressed with brute force to the cranium.
