This could end up being there Drew Brees FA QB acquisition that turns this loaded team into a contender...

Wanted the Saints to sign him when we could afford it six years ago..

Re: Nick Foles’ leadership stood out during Jaguars’ offseason program

I like Foles but I do not think he is the next Brees.

On paper and in advanced stats, Foles is a middle tier QB. He's pretty much this generation's Jeff Hostetler and I say that as a compliment (Hostetler does not get the credit he deserves for the 1990 Giants playoff run). He was also a big signing for the Raiders back in the day and I think they had one year where they started out hot (1995 I think?) with a winning record and then finished 8-8 or 9-7 after Hostetler got injured.

“So as I sort of just stepped away from the game for those few days, I was able to talk to him, talk to him about how I felt. It really was only Coach Reid. That was it. I really didn’t care about any other offer. I told my agents, ‘That’s the guy I want to play for.’"

I wouldn't take this team lightly. They lost some guys on defense due to FA but still have good linebackers & two VERY GOOD CORNERS ... IMO Jalen Ramsey is elite at his position. Statistically their defense finished the 2018 season ranked #5.

Nick Foles is a proven vet who knows how to win & when healthy L Fournette is a dawg running the rock.

<--- circle the date. This game will be at their place & the Saints need to be ready. Bortles is long gone.

Can't wait.

You are 54. It doesn't matter if anyone wins 10 or more games; every team is a waste of fans time. But I assume you'll be watching the Saints. And both Jaguar fans will watch the Jags. So what makes the Jags stand out in the waste of time world?

Odd comment, I must say.

nothing odd at all. I know i'm watching entertainment. I dont waste emotion on it, like a child. I'm a fan of the nfl. I like to watch sports, not the Saints exclusively. but its only so painfully obvious over the last few years that the nfl decides who wins.
the Saints will at the very best, make it to the nfc final again this year.. but even if they do, they will lose. its not up for debater, its not maybe, its not who knows? they might. they wont. its a stone cold guarantee that they wont.
its been the saints entire history except the one year after they remodeled the stadium. Season 100 will be about teams older than the 1960s. the nfc south division wont matter

I’d take Ramsey over any corner in the league. That includes my boy Lattimore. Jalen is the only person I’d take over him.
