Well, we definitely need to stay ahead of them in the standings and get a rematch in the Dome...

An Atlanta win Sunday would help us out tremendously.
LA has 3 tough games in a row in Dec, but not much resistance other than that. Of course they could go 8-8

8-8 won't get them in the playoffs this year.

The wildcard could easily go to 2 NFC North teams, and then there is Seattle in the hunt with their fluke wins.

Don’t sleep on what Carolina is doing either. They are way better with Allen at QB. I have a feeling Cam doesn’t see the field again this year.

Yikes !!!!

Expensive move and their O line is suspect.

So essentially the Lambs will go 5 years without a 1st-round pick. They'll be lucky to get bottom tier talent at vet min & Jalen will command a new contract. This will hurt that franchise. IMO the Jags won this trade and can build a solid foundation in the future.

If this isn't a desperation move by the Rams, I'm not sure what is.

True, but Les Snead has handed (and will hand out to Ramsey) some pretty stout contracts with heavy slots, so they may actually do better not having some ones...

But if they go the 9-7 route, they'll make a juggernaut out of the Jaguars, screwing the Colts, Texans, and Titans in the process; but then again, this is the Jaguars...

But I gotta tell you, you can label it desperation or a necessary move; look they just lost Talib for the year (and they're built to win now); so why not move Peters salary, get Ramsey, shut down half the field...

Surely Wade Wilson, as accomplished as he is, can figure out how to shut down the other half of the field with four DBs or three DBs and a fast LBer, which they got in return...

They are so hard up to keep their fan base interested because of the stadium.

This is what the Saints never took advantage of, forget the non call PI, we should of never let Jared Goff even be in that game, he looked like crap the last half of last season, hasnt looked too good this season, teams is capitalizing on that. Thats whats making them bad right now.

As for Ramsey, I doubt it will improve anything unless they get Talib back, then they will be a problem, but it might be too late.

They'll need to "hit" on every single 2nd & 3rd rounders for the next several years. Rams mortgaging their entire future for the moment in a league where no team is guaranteed to win.

Ever since we left the NFC Western Division, I have never missed the Rams and the 49ers. :o

Haven't teams learned yet that TWO number ones is way too much?

The Patriots are laughing their arse off. :chug:

Desperation isn't just a stinky cologne. They bought the farm and now dont have money for seeds. It's Super Bowl or bust this year.

Funny thing is: they may not even make the playoffs.

Wouldn't surprise me to see the Rams move on from Gurley (unfortunate knee issue/classy dude) and Brandin Cooks in 2020.

They'll have no depth, which is their problem now. This will continue to be their problem.

Re: Jalen Ramsey traded to Rams

I think the Rams' bigger issues are on offense.

Jared Goff has been a below average QB ever since that nightmare game vs the Bears last year. Since that game he has thrown just 14 TDs and 14 INTs. So far this year, he's at 7/7 on his TD/INT ratio and his yards per game have dropped to the floor.

The Bears showed how to beat McVay's offense. You completely change your defensive formation and look after the 15 second cut off from the QB/Head coach mic in the helmet. Goff does not have a high football IQ to read defenses. Hence why he looked like a deer starring into headlights vs the Pats in the SB.

Because of his lack of football IQ, McVay can't simply put the game in his hands like Payton can do with Brees or Belichick and McDaniels with Brady.

It's easy to blame it all on Gurley's issues, but they had problems before he got injured going back to that Chicago game where their offense was thoroughly undressed and exposed.

The 49ers concern me more than the Rams. That team has something of a magical aura around them. The Rams and Seahawks both have just been barely squeaking games out by the skin of their teeth. Against the same opponents, the Niners are scrubbing the floor with those teams. I look for them to pummel Seattle when they finally play.
