Back during the summer when FP blogs were doing their analysis of division history, the NFC South had the most interesting QB history.

Since it's inception in 2002; it's the ONLY division in NFL history have the best QB for all 4 teams during that stretch.

Josh Freeman shockingly holds most of Tampa Bay's franchise QB records. He's proof they really haven't had a good QB at all during their entire franchise history and his 2010 season was a fluke good year. Behind him was Vinny Testeverde, Trent Dilfer and Steve DeBerg whom didn't fare much better. (Funny enough, zero QBs from the Gruden era).

The Panthers had both Delhomme and later Cam who are their franchise best QBs. The Falcons also got Vick and later Ryan who are their franchise best QBs.

We had Brooks and later Brees.

The weird part was, compared to the other divisions and their histories, all of them had a previous great QB from a different decade with the NFC North having guys like Tarkenton, Favre and Starr on the charts. The NFC South teams didn't have a previous great QB at all. Not even franchise pro bowlers Archie or Steve Bartkwoski came close to the QBs that the teams have had in the current decade.

Given that Elway has a thing for height, this is possibility.

It would be ironic as hell though considering Denver was the team that ruined his career. They embarrassed him and made him quit in the SB. He went from an MVP to that game where he just looked god awful and couldn't do anything.

Then in the 2016 season opener, it was those consecutive blows to the head that concussed him and he has never looked the same since then. Back to back beatings by the Broncos did him in.
