You're quick to label people "close-minded" for not thinking like you. That's called irony.

Regarding Brees, he's still my favorite football player. He's in a bad situation and has to make his decisions based on politics. I hate to see the guy that brought so much hope to a region have to placate the mob in order for some semblance of peace but here we are.

Still my favorite player, as well. Sometimes placating a crowd is the best and most honorable thing to do. Close minded people do not understand that. While I made my response to your post I wasn't necessarily addressing you. Understanding other viewpoints is also an honorable trait. It is also possible for individuals on either side of an issue to be equally right.

I'm just looking forward to the beginning of the season so you and I both can watch our favorite player hopefully lead us to another Lombardi. You take care, iceshack. Life isn't easy these days.

Thought we were talking about Rodgers here but things seem to have shifted a bit. Anyway Rodgers is a good QB and I agree with Beastmode I would take him over Ryan or Brady. The one thing I notice about Rodgers is that it's all about Rodgers, don't get that team leader feeling from him. When things start to go wrong for the Pack he looks like a spoiled child whining on the sidelines.
Despite all the craziness and uncertainties this off-season has seen I still see Brees as a better motivator and team leader. Looking ahead this will most likely be the strangest season we will see even more bizarre than the Strike Season back in 1987.

Either way I think he is a giant P and have 0 respect for him now. I have literally 0 interest in the NFL. I haven't even looked at any info. I honestly am hopeful the Saints lose often. Sorry to the fans I've known on the board for so long but I have no respect for any of them anymore. The players not the guys here.

I primarily refer to Drew as deep throat now for how he pleased MJ

THe other option is Brees is a man of character, ambassador to this city and he wanted to show unity and be understood as someone who cares, was taken wrong and doesn’t have a racist bone in his body

What he said when he said it was insensitive

HOw little it takes to despise the person who nearly singlehandedly brought the Saints to a position of prominence and pride.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Okay. Maybe an over response, but you are dead on, Audiotom.

He's not better then Drew. He's a good QB.

Fraud? Neaux ...

Likeable guy? ... probably not but he is still a damn good NFL QB.

He was throwing darts against a good Vikings defense on yesterday.

Hopefully the Saints secondary is up to the challenge ... he'll be in the dome on 9/27/20.

Exagerated praise for Rogers is b cause the announcers (former players) hated Favre for beating them for so long. They jumped on Rogers bandwagon to stick to Brett. My personal view - the guy can play above average but is a real ass. Not in Drew or Manning’s class.
