The selectively offended corporate sponsors and their huge dollars came calling in a re-election year, and that was all she wrote. I am hoping they keep the nickname 'R' something or another and go back to these vintage uni's ... anything to prevent them designing something new and hideous (looking at you Tampa Bay and LA Rams)

Now that the Redskins name and logo is no longer permitted, would you suggest that all Redskins items are now a collectors item? All football cards, and merchandise.

My wife and I have an online store (MemoriesFound on eBay) that deals in vintage goods. Rebranding always adds value based upon the scarcity already at hand. If it is an item that has already flooded the market its value will take a small bump up. However, if it was an already scarce item that bump could be huge. For example, when Northeast Louisiana University was rebranded as University of Louisiana at Monroe almost everything became collectors items. We can't keep anything in stock with the old ULM branding.

I've got quite a few football cards from the 50's that I'm going to be scouring for old Redskins, for sure.

Do. We just posted some tobacco cards from the turn of the century (1900 or so) including King Bee brand made in New Orleans. We've sold well over 10,000 vintage items over the past 20+ years through that site.
