i'm a fan of Belhaven's Best, Caledonian 80, McE's 80 (tennents is ok), newky brown, singletrack, turbo dog, moosehead (for the cheap-ish stuff), boddington's.

scottish beer > * imo.

Tennent's was my intro at age 15, growing up in Inverness. I quickly switched to a 'Black & Tan', starring a mix of McEwen's Export with Sweetheart Stout.

The lads used to go to the 'Hayloft' for "lunch". After a couple of B&T's we were feeling no pain.

very nice...i just got back from edinburgh. my family is from oban and the northern highlands. i can't wait to go back. we went through inverness...nice town.

My sis spent seven years in Edinburgh. She lived near the Meadows.

There was a pub by the Meadows called Bennet's Bar. They brewed their own 'Special'. It would absolutely knock you on yer arse!!

There is this place called total wine out here in Atlanta that is so damn big. It is literally the size of Walmart and is full of 100's of beers 1000's of wines and liquor. Ill take a short vid next time Im there and post it for yall. Its insane!!

yep, we have one here in boca raton and then another in ft lauderdale.

that place is amazing...i love the keg room :D picking kegs off of a shelf is awesome :D

I'm in socal so I like corona and sol, two mexican style beers, but then again, seeing as I'm a teenager i haven't really been able to sample everything :)

anyways you guys know absinthe is legal once again?
i havent had any since it was banned back in 1912 (jk)
i found some at bevmo and tried it - definitely licorice tasting but not bad

haha i had some freshman year at LSU (roommate brought some back from deutschland...i wasn't a fan of the stuff myself)

but i saw some at a liquor store and was like "hmm i may have to try that again since it's "legal" here haha"

My roommate and I just brewed a Dry-hopped Ale similar to Anchor's Liberty Ale. It was my first try (his second) at brewing and I was shocked at how well it turned out. We didn't stir in the corn sugar well enough at bottling, so some are a little flat, but they taste really good.

And they are strong! They gotta be close to 10%, because after three I was pretty darned buzzed, and it usually takes about a 6-pack to get there.

Really? That cuts out a whole darn lot of beers, papz. You might want to give some ales another shot. Do me a favor and try a bottle of Fat Tire when you get a chance. If you don't like it, I'll buy you a sixer of Bud Light and mail it down to you.
