Reader reactions to The New York Times story on the New Orleans murder rate

It was a far more hopeful (almost aspirational) title than the headline on the jump: "New Orleans Adds Rising Rate of Homicides to Its List of Crippling Problems" ? above a Danny Monteverde cellphone pic of cops and police tape in front of the hot-cha Chris Owens Club:
