Melissa Harris-Perry gets her own show on MSNBC

Perry ? the wife of fair-housing advocate and former mayoral candidate James Perry ? has been a frequent guest on the network, where she has guest-hosted The Rachel Maddow Show.

On her Twitter account this morning*, Harris-Perry confirmed the deal and said she'll be staying in New Orleans:
