In-game Celebrations

I've noticed a trend the last couple of years in which games are being stopped when a player reaches some landmark record or whatever. I know I have seen this several times - most recently with Emmitt when he took the all-time-yardage lead.

I have to say that I don't like this trend. I think it puts too much emphasis on the record which is important to the history of the NFL, but not to the game itself. I would be much happier with a post game ceremony honoring the person for his achievement rather than interrupting a game to do so.
