Council vote clears way for Backyard Ballroom reopening
 

New Orleans City Council voted unanimously for a zoning change that will allow the Backyard Ballroom on St. Claude Avenue to reopen. The theater, which opened in 2006, has not been operating since last year because its previous zoning didn't allow for entertainment venues.? [ Read more ]
