Michael Brewer, chef/owner of The Sammich (7708 Maple St., 504-866-6222), will host the first of a series of summer beer dinners at 7 p.m. July 8.

?I thought summer would be the perfect time to explore some of the craft breweries and beers we have available now,? Brewer says.
