One of the most prolific New Orleans producers and DJs in New Orleans, DJ Quickie Mart has pushed New Orleans bounce into wild, weird directions and given club music a cosmic makeover. For the first song from his forthcoming Space Monkey Radio 3 EP of remixes, Quickie Mart strips the precious indie pop of Sweet Crude's "Super Vilaine"*to its melodic minimum and injects a sinister club beat (and "Closer" double-take).*Singer Alexis Marceaux's far-reaching vocals are front and center, and bubbling synths replace the original's poly-rythmic bounce.
