Ramen lovers, rejoice: ICHI Japanese Ramen House (1913 Royal St., 504-948-6670), a new Japanese noodle and small plates restaurant, is now open in the Marigny at the former site of SukhoThai.*The new restaurant from the owners of the*Little Tokyo restaurant chain*opened quietly last week.*

The menu features traditional takes on the popular Japanese staple including a classic tonkotsu ramen, made with pork bone broth with thick slices of pork belly, green onions, spinach, beat sprouts, garlic, fried onions, a soft-boiled egg and ra-yu, a type of spicy chili oil. Other noodle bowls include ramen with buttered corn, curry ramen and a version topped with melted cheese.?
