Tom Conklin?s Chappapeela Farms Brewery (57542 Hillcrest School Road, Amite, 225-281-9474) has opened, and his farmhouse ales will be distributed in New Orleans starting next week. This is Louisiana?s 16th production brewery and 21st brewery/brewpub overall.

Conklin plans to release his two flagships ?*a porter and a saison, both brewed with Brettanomyces yeast ?*at The Avenue Pub at 2 p.m.?
