The Revenant leads Oscar race with 12 nominations

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the 2016 Oscar nominations this morning and Alejandro G. Iñárritu's The Revenant came out on top with 12 nominations, followed by George Romero's Mad Max: Fury Road with 10, Ridley Scott's The Martian with seven and Tom McCarthy's Spotlight with six. Iñárritu's Birdman was the big winner at last year's Oscars.?
