The Broad Theater and Louisiana History Alive will present a special screening of New Orleans-made Civil War film Free State of Jones today, Sunday, July 3, followed by a Q&A with local cast members and crew. Directed by Gary Ross and starring Matthew McConaughey, the film tells the true story of Newton "Newt" Knight, who led an uprising against rebel forces in Jones County, Mississippi.?
