Enduring sci-fi classic Planet of the Apes screens today, July 27, at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m at the Elmwood Palace and Canal Place theaters as part of Turner Classic Movies' continuing Big Screen Classics series, presented by Fathom Events. The original 1968 Apes was directed by Franklin J. Schaffner (Patton, The Boys From Brazil) and stars Charlton Heston, Roddy McDowall and Kim Hunter.?
