Women of Note music and discussion series opens at Jazz Museum March 15

In concert with Women's History Month, the*New Orleans Jazz Museum hosts a*performance and discussion series featuring local women artists to accompany its Women of Note exhibit highlighting*the history of women in jazz from its early influences and inception through today.

The series kicks off at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15 with*songwriters and musicians*Leyla McCalla, Alexis Marceaux and Alexandra Scott, moderated by series curator Alison Fensterstock.

Helen Gillet, Debbie Davis and Robin Barnes perform*Wednesday, March 21, and*Esther Rose, Meschiya Lake and Dayna Kurtz perform Wednesday, March 28.

All performances begin at 8 p.m. and admission is free.
