Just a few weeks after its predecessor shuttered, Jack Rose*(2031 St. Charles Ave.,*(504) 323-1500), the new restaurant at the Pontchartrain Hotel, opens for dinner tonight (Friday).

The restaurant takes over the space formerly held by the Besh Restaurant Group?s elegant Creole revival, The Caribbean Room, which closed in early March.?
