It seems that the Republicans are starting to find out what it was like for Clinton and the democrats for eight years.
Bush has in no way can be compared to Clinton. Clinton was a lying POS(Piece Of Sh*t). We are having a probleme with terrorist right now because he did nothing. Liberals are so out of touch with the true spirit of America. Why did the south go from a diehard Democratic strong hold to a Republican???? Now New York and Califronia are total liberal states???? BLAME BUSH, BLAME BUSH.....BLAME YOUR D@MN SELF. I cant say this enough, TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN MISTAKES! You will not be shot for it, I promise. :brood:

All I have to say about this is very simple.

The founding father of our country, the very first President of the United States, George Washington, opposed political parties with a passion. He also opposed certain types of banking systems (the ones we run today) because they're corrupt. And, it was George Washington that believed leaving the rest of the world alone and worrying about our own country was the way to keep out of trouble.

When the 2nd President of the United States took over, the country started turning to crap. Yes, it happened that fast. In fact, Washington tuned in to politics after his departure and wrote countless articles about his disapproval with the United States' government after he stepped down.

The country we live in now-a-days is nowhere even close to what our founding fathers had drawn up. And yes, folks, this is a VERY BAD thing. We are the exact type of country that we once rebelled against.

God Bless President Washington and his genius. Every president that followed ran this country into the ground.

Its not all the Presidents fault we also have a congress and senete... but your point is very well taken and I brought up earlier was the the State (England), and New Orleans (colonials)... England taxing New Orleans and not representing New Orleans as they should. Hey recall the Boston Tea Party... the water in New Orleans needs to represent the tea.

Who was president during the Gulf War that went to Baghdad and left without completing the job. Just wondering when this trend of doing nothing first started.

That is the question of the century. If either MS or LA had voted democrat, Bush would not be president right now. Would we be better off right now? That is the question I truly cannot answer. I was not a fan of Kerry's either. I did not vote in the last election because I could not bring myself to vote for either person. I can't blame the Republicans for the candidate they ran, but the Democrats probably lost the election due to the person they chose as their representative.

I am independent and I have to tell you with the choice we had last election we would be better off with Bush over Kerry. Hinesight now also but what the hell were people thinking in LA voting for Blanco!

washington warned about having two different parties. hey and andrew jackson ran on the idea that you don't take a stance on anything. funny sounds the same as the dems. today doesn't it. andrew jackson also started the spoils system. go figure

spkb25 09-10-2005 11:45 AM

hey oldies i like your post but disagree with you on thomas jefferson. he made some mistakes but he had the right idea on government. andrew jackson really started f-ing this country up. king andrew

BoudinSandwich 09-10-2005 11:48 AM

Ok, I'll give you that on Jefferson. He did a fair enough job.

This discussion makes me think of a famous quote from my own favorite founding father:

"Anyone who trades liberty for security deserves neither liberty nor security."
