Nina Compton, a runner up in season 11 of Top Chef, which was filmed in New Orleans, announced the name of her new restaurant in the Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery. It will be called Compere Lapin, a patois French name for a trickster*figure in Caribbean folk tales, roughly translated as "brother rabbit."? [ Read more ]
