Chris Paul: The Anti-Hip Hop Star | News for New Orleans, Louisiana | Sports | WWLTV.com | News for New Orleans, Louisiana The brothers were clean cut under their parents’ roof and remain so now that they are on their own - no tattoos, no braids, no piercings. “My mom used to say that she would be the only one waking up in the morning putting earrings in,” recalled Chris. “And my dad, oh, man, I couldn’t imagine walking up to my dad with my ears’ pierced.” “That’s just the way we were brought up,” said CJ. “That’s not what we do. I think that kind of sets him apart from the rest of the NBA.” “They’ve never seen their dad with a tattoo or earring,” said Charles. “That doesn’t define who you are. What defines you is how you live.” Paul has never lived large in any way. He could now, but doesn’t. A riverfront condominium is what he calls his greatest excess. His entourage consists of his brother, mother and father. Temptation awaits a man of Chris Paul’s abilities, character abides. “Chris is really grounded,” said his mother Robin. “He has his values, he has his morals, so you can sense when something isn’t right.” Paul says his dream house would have a bowling alley and a basketball court adjoining the bedroom, so he could get out of bed and into the gym as quickly as possible, every morning. His wants are as limited as his future is limitless. “I have the same cars I’ve had since my rookie year. I’m just trying to make sure everybody in my family is taken care of - my parents, my brother. As long as I have enough money to eat everyday I’m good.” |
Re: Chris Paul
Chris Paul is a great player with great parents that raised him well. He is most deserving of MVP than Kobe is.

Re: Chris Paul
lsutigerfan it took Kobe 12 seasons in the NBA to learn how to trust his team. Chris numbers were MVP caliber. The reason why Kobe got MVP is because people felt like it was his turn to get one. Kobe couldnt hold CP3 jock.
