Chris Paul to Clippers
ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting that the Clippers and NBA-owned Hornets have agreed in principle for a deal sending Chris Paul and two future second-round picks to the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu and a Minnesota first-round pick.
Finally. It still needs to be officially approved, but appears the CP3 saga has come to an end. We're not sure what changed the NBA's mind to approve the deal, nor do we care. The question now becomes, how will Chauncey Billups react to this news? This deal is expected to be approved later tonight by the NBA. Source: Marc Stein on Twitter |

It's done ... about effing time!
Sources -- Los Angeles Clippers, New Orleans Hornets agree on Chris Paul trade - ESPN Los Angeles Not sure one the two second round picks however ... |

I'm glad for you Hornets fans that you got a deal done and it worked out pretty well. But I'm very unhappy the NBA Commissioner vetoed the first trade and rigged this trade together. He's now also undermined the credibility of any major transaction in the NBA. David Stern must have been a puppeteer in a previous life.
I hope someone buys the Hornets ASAP, it would help me sleep better at night as a Lakers fan. |
Didn't he want to play for the Knicks ?

Bu-bye CP3

Well I used to watch Basketball all the time a few years ago... But maybe it's just me... But it seems like the League and players are getting real bad.. I know all professions have things that seem to drag them down or give them a bad rep...
Baseball with Roids, is just an example... But Basketball has went bad recently... Guns in locker rooms, Thug mentality.. Oh well GL CP3 wherever you go... You were a bright spot in the City of New Orleans while you were here... |
Too many teams, too many games, too many supposed "superstars" I've seen mail it in a few games a week.
I think basketball got "bad" in the 90's with over expansion of the league watering down the talent pool. A single player like CP3 is considered "the entire franchise" now-a-days. A few teams attract mega-talent... and how do they do that? |
