Re: Who's the Weak Link in New Orleans Pelicans' Playoff Hopes?
Yes we overpaid for Gordon but he can play. I don't see why he'd ever have to be just a spot up 3 guy. The Pelicans made all the right moves this offseason. Russ Smith gives us a legit backup PG which we desperately needed. Asik is a huge upgrade over the garbage we started at center last year. Jimmer Ferdette is a pure set 3pt shooter who could thrive with so much talent down low. Tyreke Evans and Ryan Anderson are young rising stars. No one knows it yet but this team is loaded and because of Anthony Davis they are title contenders. The West is loaded but each team has it's own weaknesses. The Pelicans have the best front court in the NBA. Jrue Holliday was an all star PG 2 years ago. Evans, Gordon and Anderson are all great scorers. SF is their only weakness. We just need Darius Miller to be a little more aggressive on D and rebounding. His outside shooting has been solid. I see 50+ wins and a possible title shot this year.
