A right elbow strain is currently keeping
New Orleans Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson sidelined.
According to the
Times-Picayune's John Reid, Anderson, who missed just one game in the team's first 51, will now miss his second consecutive contest on Wednesday night:
The Pelicans, currently tied with the
Oklahoma City Thunder for ninth place in the West, are just trying to get to the All-Star break in one piece. Point guard Jrue Holiday is out with a leg injury, MVP candidate Anthony Davis missed Monday's contest with a shoulder problem and now Anderson, one of the team's most dangerous three-point threats, is banged up.
Dante Cunningham will continue to see an increase in minutes in Anderson's absence, while Alexis Ajinca and Luke Babbitt will also play larger roles. Fortunately, the reprieve of All-Star weekend gives New Orleans a nine-day break after Wednesday's game.
